Just wanting to warn everyone not to use Orphus. I talked them into giving me a free trial and they decided to give it too me. The server is down right now (not sure how long it's been down, lost faith in them a while ago and haven't been using it)

Anyways, I haven't recieved a single response from support since last Thursday. :/ Which was exactly a week ago.. And when they were responding, it was one every 1-2 days

Not trying to defend Orphus. But sometimes host do have problems with their servers. You should wait and see if the problems are resolved, before you start posting negative information abou them. If they are down, it doesnt mean that they are a bad host. Just my 2 cents.

True, but if they don't respond in a week, they aren't a good host.

If there is a lack of communication, then that is a problem. If they are notifying you of what is going on and that is it being resolved, then at least there is some communication going on.

Well, I have to agree with OP. Both my sites hosted on Orphus went down Sunday January 11. Their site is down too since then and it's impossible to get any response from them.

I've always been very pleased with them, but more than a week down without any contact, means I'll have to look for another host.

you didn't notice? orphus got hacked and then i ugess their owner ditched or something... i'm still trying to do a little research on what happened after they got hacked but turning up with very very little....

fortunately i have all my data replicated on my home comp, but i lost all my email and mysql stuff

been searching for a new host since then, i transferred over to the free 1and1 thing to catch all my emails (cuz i'm applying to colleges...)
