News came from Moscow that partly my father's restaurant had an armed robbery overnight. 25 grand are gone. This sucks. :(

I am very sorry to hear that and my deepest sympathies are with your family. I am glad everyone is alright but the money is gone and money is needed to survive on.

Insurance? In Russia? The best insurance in Russia, when doing business, is if you know "some" important people. No one wants to insure any business. I mean its a possibility, but a very tough one. :) They have just introduced required car insurance for crying out loud.

The money pick-up by the bank was delayed for some reason for a few days. It were in the safe though, but they just took the safe. There were two guards in the restaurant and there is small suspicious that they were involved. It looked like an inside job, because someone had to know that there was a delay with a pick up.

It is, of course, sucks when the money is gone, but its not the first time businesses get robbed like that and its not the sole business of our family.

The risk of losing businesses is the biggest risk in Russia. The risk of having business. Money is secondary for many, because they can always make more of them. Believe it or not.
