Right now i'm using aplus.net as my host, there pretty good but there bitching about my transfer which is no good (even though when i signed up 2 years ago, they promised me 'UNLIMITED' transfer). My site hosts my dj mixes which are about 80-100 mb .mp3 files each and i have about 3-4 of them on the site because i have 500 mb limit. I was wondering if there were any good webhosts out there that can host me between 500-1000 mb of space and 50-100 gb transfer a month for about 10-20 bux a month. If there are please reply with them. Any help is greatly appreciated :D

Hosts are not permitted to make you offers here.

However, I would be very wary of any host offering you "unlimited" bandwith.... search this forum for "unlimited" - you will get loads of info.

With respect to your request, 1GB space and 50-100GB transfer - Your cost will probably be more then $10-$20/month.

Check the offers forum, Im sure you will be able to find a host that meets your criteria and price range.

Any host promising any more than 30 GB of transfer for any less than $20 I would be careful of. Realistically, you're looking at spending between $50 (very low estimate) and $100 because of the bandwidth usage alone. You can probably find a half-way decent host for a few dollars short of $50

I would more than double your $20 budget to find a somewhat decent host. Bandwidth alone should go for around $1 per GB.

Agreed, but he will be able to find hosts willing to accomodate those requirements and budget in the offers forum.

I would just be very careful when selecting (though, the service will probably be better then what you saw with your "unlimited" host)

Theres a big difference between 30 GB transfer for $7.95 and 100 GB transfer for $20.

Though Im glad to hear you found a host offering those resources at that pricing that you're happy with. As a general rule, thats pretty hard to find...

Well I guess some folks would not want their own server. PLus at $100 a month you are not goign to get a managed one. We have a couple of sites who pay us as much as they would for a budget dedicated. But they don't want all the hassle or have the know how to run an unmanaged one. Though I have to point out we are not in the webhsoting business.

In respect of bw prices, I would be wary of anything too low myself. Not that I don't want a good deal, but no point getting a great $deal and not having your site/s online :)
