I'm looking to change my windows xp login screen, only problem is i want to specify where the login box is. I know how to change the colors and background, but i want to completely remodel the login screen.

I want the login screen to look like this:

http://xeimo.com/img/nls.jpg

I want there to be no guest login, only one account to login to, and the only part that you put info into is the login box (Where you enter the password)

So it's very plain except for the password box.

Is this possible? I've seen custom ones around, but don't know how to make my own. I've tried searching but it only brings up how to change it slightly.

I believe you need specialised software for that. Some sort of theme manager that interact with XP. You cannot do it straight out of the box.

So do you know that software?

I never used it, but I think there are a couple of makers. Google for "XP themes", one of the website should tell you what is needed for some of their themes.

It's ok, we all make mistakes :)

One of the users here sent me a link to "LogonStudio" This is what i wanted, but i when i applied it, it has messed up colors and i almost couldn't log in, had to find the box to log in at ;)

Maybe i'll wait for another day :)

That's the one!

Now I remember... it comes with several "ready" login screens that you can choose... or you can make one with it...

check out windows blind its fairly good. I think you may need to purchase the full version of the software of you wish to change the colors of the windows desktop. Or if you really want to take it to the next level check out object desktop I believe that both programs are trial ware for 30 days but it wont hurt to spend a few bucks to purchase them.

I tried a lot of different program’s the one I like is Tweak-XP http://www.totalidea.com not to make the login screen’s but to change them.

To change the boot screen I use a program called BootXPv2.1 unfortunate thought the webpage is off line.
