Hello, I'm looking for suggestion on how to develop a prototype for a product idea I have. I was thinking about contacting local engineering type places. I was wondering if WHT members from Asia particularly in India, China, or Thailand know of manufacturing places that will develop a prototype. This not for a technical (software/hardware/web hosting) it's for an idea I have but I have no clue how to build it. I have the drawings and that's it. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks!

It's not cheap to develope a prototype. It's not as easy as just telling someone "ok take 2 pieces of x and put blah". It requires blue prints, engineers, people to serve coffee and lawyers to make sure everything is recorded.

My wife's best friend is an attorney and she is going to introduce me to a patent attorney on Friday night over dinner. She'll give me an idea as to cost and how to get this off the ground. I'll post what I find out.
