Anybody familiar with win2k IIS5.0 using SSL port 443?

I need some help.

I can't get port 443 to work but if I assign SSL to a different port e.g 10172 it work fine. What have I done wrong?

Do you have SP2 installed?

I don't know the first thing about IIS, but I had a similar problem on Apache. I fought for hours, trying to figure out why SSL simply would not work. No errors reported, the server seemed to think it was working just fine, but the browser said differently.

Finally, glancing at my firewall logs, I realized I had not opened up port 443 on my firewall. DOH!

Hope this helps. I hit myself in the head pretty hard after discovering the problem, and I don't recommend doing that -- a sigh of relief is much less painful ;)

Yes it's on SP2.

I'll check with my datacenter if there is any Firewall.
