Hello everyone!

I am looking for a good ad tracking service. Does anyone have any idea? There are quite a few on google, but is there anything specific I should look for in their features? Which one is better, online service or script?

I second phpadsnew - excellent free php and mysql script to keep track of ads on your site.

Yip or adcycle. Though it is no longer being updated I think, but it is easier to admin I find and solid for high delivery rates. I am sure phpadsnew is too but have never tested it under load.

PhpAdsNew is one of the best you can get free or paid and it's free.

Yip, granted I just find when you have hundreds of banners and dozens of zones to manage it is easier with adcycle. Too many options I do not need on phpan. Adcycle can be quite efficient too if installed a certain way.

I daresay if I had started with phpadsnew I would prefer that :) Just giving my opinion based on use, dont want to start a perl/php war :-)

Edit: I should add that I am not sure about online. You might find you are serving the actual images from a broker anyway via html ads. As to your own banners through online I am not sure.

Certainly adservers of any type are resourse hungry if you are serving a lot.

Either way I think they're both great options to run your own ad server for one site or a network of sites ;)

Yip agreed and you can try them both out for free, though as mentioned adcycle costs some cash to use after 30 days. PLus as noted it will not be getting upgraded by the author.

PHPAdsNew is a great piece of software, but it's pretty complicated.

phpAdsNew is more complicated than some.

To answer the guy saying he doesn't know how it handles under load..

Site with > 50,000 ad impressions/day and we've barely noticed a load increase in mysql and php because of its addition to an existing php/mysql site on a P4 2.4GHz.
