I am thinking of moving my site to aplushosting.com. They seem to offer reasonable services at a reasonable price. Does anyone here know anything about them?

I've heard good comments about them. I advise against buy one of their "unlimited" plan though.

I wanted to sign up for aplushosting Deluxe, but the ever-updating policies scares me off...

The bandwidth limit is quite good for the price but the hits are 140, 000 limit per day. So if ya have those small little icons or images, text and such ya might find urself constantly monitoring ur hits... >_<;;

Also they just added high traffic plans which are pretty expensive and still restricting hits. New plans also mean that those high traffic websites are advised to pay us$150 or limit ur traffic. I don't think they'll be kind enough to let u off just by displaying their banner in ur webby.

animeshack.com just got sold to another webmaster due to high traffic and unable to pay for the $150 :(

The policies are so detailed that you get headaches reading it and it seems to get longer and longer... @_@

I think I may head off to site5.com but it seems that theres another prob with them again? Hmm....

I was with them for awhile and I have nothing bad to say. They treated me well, and have good support... and the bandwidth allowance is generous (they calculate it on approximately $1 spent per month = 1GIG) so for a $15 package you would be allowed around 15GIG's... which is decent.

The only problem *I* had was I needed MySQL support, and to upgrade to their next (highest) package to get it was WAY more than I needed, or wanted to spend, and wasn't able to just add it on to my existing package.

But they're fine. I had absolutely no hassles cancelling or anything.

Hmm.... yup Ronin sold Animeshack.com to me and one of the reasons was the hosting costs at aplushosting were getting to him.. but that wasn't the only reason for the sale. Anyway i'll take care of Animeshack.com :)

hi, my site is being hosted by aplushosting.com and I'm on their Deluxe II plan, i believe. the one that's 14.99 a month.

First things first, its been now over a year since I've been with this company and they are great. I haven't had one single problem with that, and their customer service is fast in responding to emails.

However, 14.99 a month is starting to make a hole in my wallet (im a college student, give me a break) and I've been finding many cheaper hosters out there. So this is my last month with aplus. I would recommend them to anyone if you can afford it. =)
