View Full Version : Any experience with dialupusa.net?
Meridien 10-02-2001, 03:50 PM Does anyone have experience with dialupusa.net? I'm considering them for dial up access but their contract demands that I pay them the minimum per month if I close my account in the first 24 months, but they owe me nothing if they close during the same 24 months - that seems a little one-sided.
If not dialupusa.net, any other suggestions?
Thanks in advance.
ZachTy 10-02-2001, 04:10 PM Meridien,
Words cannot express our feelings for Dialupusa.
Stay away!!!
Martie 10-02-2001, 04:22 PM Never heard of them! Sounds like a crazy policy.
multipleimage 10-03-2001, 10:32 PM i wouldnt use them. I dont like that policy
slade 10-03-2001, 11:03 PM I am under contract with them right now... Unfortunately, I haven't been able to do any work to get a service set up.
the $100/month is a lousy policy...
mithilesh 10-04-2001, 08:26 PM I haven't any experience with them.
rbuecker 07-06-2002, 08:46 AM I realize this post is beyond old, but maybe someone else will be looking for some more up to date info on this thread in the near future.
I have recently signed on with dialupusa.net after being treated absolutely terribly by virtisp.net. So far setup seems a little slow unless I call in to check up on them- but I suppose they could have a large work load as well. I understand how that is completely possible and I don't really mind that much. If any of the previous posters are still around and could give more specifics on their situation, that would be appreciated. I'll probably only follow up here if something goes wrong or interesting conversation develops.
Cheers,
Robert

Robert -
I use them, and I am happy with them. Don't love the 100 a month policy, but hopefully I'll be able to start marketing the dialup part of my business soon, so it won't be an issue.
They provide excellent updates on network status, and usually get back to me when I have simple questions, within a few hours.

rbuecker 11-29-2002, 08:41 PM I was still a relatively new customer during my post. But now I do see what you mean about the $100 minimum policy. I only have a handful of people who actually dialup frequently, so I'm seeing a large credit develop as well. I've had 1 signup from rockstar so far though, there's a + :)

Yup, I got a couple more signups today and another coming tomorrow. Just a couple more to break even, and I'll be happy.
I don't really like the rockstar stuff. I prefer to just use the dialup stuff. I purchased dialup constructor so I could make modifications to setup things MY way.
I also use my own mail server. I don't trust anyone anymore. My Server. My 100% uptime. :)

rbuecker 11-29-2002, 08:51 PM Could you PM me a url for the dialup constructor incase my searches turn up nothing? Also, I only use them for the dialup as well, I've been supplying everything else system related since day 1 :) The most I ask of my dialup provider is proxy radius and realms, and dialupusa.net delivers there (thank god). I'm not sure how their email/web stuff works, I don't think you or I want to either which is fine :)

Robert,
Log into the back office and on the home page you will see Free Rockstar Software (Branded CD) or click on the Easy Config under ISP extras.

What he was looking for, was the dialup constuctor software, that allows you to change the information in the Easy Config files.
