I'm looking for a host and I need someone to point me in the right direction on what host to go with. Some things I need:
-------------
Unlimited or 350mb at the least
Unlimited Bandwidth
Unlimited Subdomains
CGI-Bin, Perl, Php, Mysql database(s),SSI etc.....
Mostly regular stuff...
Pop3 emails and the all basic stuff. I'm sure you know the basics and etc..
Unix Server
Very Fast
Runs Ikonboard Very well and such scripts and can handle it very well.
Very Reliable (Much uptime as possible)
-------------
I need a good host that is fast and provides me with a lot of bandwidth and space. My site is going to be based heavily on perl, php, cgi etc.. So it needs to be fast. Also needs lots of bandwidth because I use a ikonboard and do testing with it.
I have looked at http://www.ontargethost.com and they seem like a great host. The Premium Plan plan here:

Looks really good to me and that is an example of what I want. The most I can spend is $20.00 but looking for the best deal and best service available. Any suggestions?

Take a look at the terms and conditions of ontarget, see if your site qualifies for its 'unlimited bandwidth.' They can't really offer unlimited bandwidth, and for some reason I get the feeling they ca[ every site at 10gb

Ahhh, I think I understand now. Well my site would vilate some of the things in there so it would probably have to take up 10GB like you said.. I guess that is enough. But is there any other site that can compare.. In general other good webhosts you recommend that offers some of the same things that I want and that host offers.

There is NO SUCH THING as unlimited bandwidth!

Yes, I know. I meant compare as in that have lots of bandwidth and the features.

Lots of hosts or just websites in general have been ripping off dell's design lately, but most look like they just got inspiration and made their site. THAT looks like quite the rip off.

:puke:
Why do people rip off such well known site? There are plenty of good site designs no one visits lol. :puke:

They do look good indeed for a real cheap price. Would you recommend them for my needs?

i would say yes. i've been coming to these boards for a couple weeks now becuase i am in need of a new host. i used the search button at the top after hearing about hostiva and aletia. i read every topic that had to do with them and never heard a real bad thing about either of them. so i'd say yes hostiva is good. i've been reading on there forums that they've been having problems the last 2 days because of a script that messed up there servers. there working on it though.
anyway use the search button at the top and read about hostiva from others.

Thanks! I will search for more threads also. I'm really considering the Virtual Hosting 500 - $10.95 monthly plan :)

Although it should be noted I'm running nothing that would be considered very server intensive. Support has been quick and attentive.
I would have no reservations about recommending them to anyone.
