View Full Version : Huge gaming network for SALE!
Niklas 01-08-2004, 11:21 AM Hello,
I am selling my whole Gaming Network. The gaming network has 6 sites:
http://www.thegtagarage.com
http://www.gtadiscussion.com
http://www.gtatoplist.com
http://www.gta-modding.com
http://www.gtasa.org
http://www.gtagallery.com
The GTA Garage (http://www.thegtagarage.com) or also called TGG was the first website to the gaming network. It has all kinds of information for all the GTA games.
GTA Discussion (http://www.gtadiscussion.com) is the network forum. With over 3500 members, GTA Discussion is one of the largest GTA forums on the net!
GTA Toplist.com (http://www.gtatoplist.com) is a GTA toplist. GTAtoplist.com has both a toplist and a site review aka spotlight. The Toplist has over 90 sites as members.
GTA Modding (http://www.gta-modding.com) is the file database. So far it has had over 12,000 downloads.
GTA SA.org (http://www.gtasa.org) is another information webpage for the next gta game which is believed to be called GTA San Andreas.
GTA Gallery (http://www.gtagallery.com) is a gallery for members to submit pictures to.
So far January site stats can be found at:
http://www.thegtagarage.com/sitestats/Jan/
If the site management is a problem, I am sure we can come to a deal on that as well.

Previous time I tryed to sell the network, I got an offer of $1000. I am looking for similar price this time as well.
TR Seeks 01-08-2004, 11:47 AM I may be interested.
Why are you selling?
and the stats link does not work
Niklas 01-08-2004, 11:51 AM The stat links works fine for me? Does this link work:
http://www.thegtagarage.com/sitestats/Jan/list.jpg (it is only stats for one of the sites)
The only reason for selling is because I need some money for a new venture I am soon starting.
minto 01-08-2004, 11:52 AM anychance of selling just http://www.gtadiscussion.com/ ? i am really intrested in that! price?
Niklas 01-08-2004, 11:57 AM GTA Discussion is a very popular GTA forum. I would really prefer to sell it all in a pack, but if you make an offer I can't resist, I am sure we can come to a deal.
LindonNetworks 01-08-2004, 12:08 PM I am very interested. Can you please send me your asking price.
Niklas 01-08-2004, 12:09 PM Any bids over $1000 are welcome
LindonNetworks 01-08-2004, 12:09 PM What about hosting?
Niklas 01-08-2004, 12:11 PM There won't be hosting included
minto 01-08-2004, 12:14 PM Edited
Niklas 01-08-2004, 12:18 PM Go to the forum and check when the board was installed and when first posts came in. You will notice it has been around a lot longer already. The domain GTADiscussion.com was registered in November, but before that the forum was at http://forum.thegtagarage.com.
Hope that helps :)
Convergent 01-08-2004, 12:18 PM What kind of revenue is the network generating?
minto 01-08-2004, 12:24 PM actuaky i lost in trest in buying the forum and like to withdraw my bis please. cause i just had a look at your members, the first 8 pages all had 0 posts! then i just gave up!
Niklas 01-08-2004, 12:27 PM That is not true. The first 8 pages (out of the 387 pages) had several people with posts.
If you want to see people who post, check this list:

I use google adsense on the network. I am not sure how much the sites make since I use my Google adsense account on several other sites.

it's a good forum.
2. so far in january i think his forums got 25,000 unique visitors? Its only January 8th and his traffic is definitely worth what he's asking ;-)
minto 01-08-2004, 03:40 PM he is asking for offer above 1K$
JNadolski 01-08-2004, 07:22 PM Well this would be a good project to take over to make apart of a Marketing Stragey, but to make money off the sites, would take some heavy duty make over, and facelift. All in all it looks very pleasing, how much is your current bid.
JNadolski 01-08-2004, 07:24 PM Also just a tip, maybe you should email GameSpy, i know that they use plant.....com, maybe they could use this to put inside there network just to make that one extra community bigger.
Also i hear AlienWare is getting ready to reveal a new community witin gaming, and PC software, this was an idea to get there name more public. Somthing such as a new kazza i beleave is whats being worked on.
NightProwler 01-09-2004, 01:58 AM How about the resources the sites require to run? Any specs on that?
(Is this Niklas from the now-dead Muttle forums? I had the name Archangel on there but somebody already has it here... so I took this lol)
Niklas 01-09-2004, 08:57 AM Lemme answer 1 question at a time. Yes I am Niklas from Muttle.com (the dead community :P).
I was planning on emailing some of the bigger communities (GameSpy etc), but is there actually a chance they are interested?
I am asking around $1000.
The sites take about 350 MB of webspace and the bandwidth varies from 40 GB - 80 GB a month.
If you would still need someone to update the sites and such, we could definetly work that out.
dethfire 01-09-2004, 06:07 PM I am just interested in http://www.gtadiscussion.com how much for just that?
Niklas 01-09-2004, 06:13 PM Make an offer I can't resist :)
NightProwler 01-09-2004, 09:05 PM Major companies wouldn't be that interested. Those that are would try to feed you with crap, saying the sites aren't worth more than, say, $500--just to buy something cheaper than it's worth :(
Hmm, I will offer 1050 for the forum...
Niklas 01-10-2004, 09:08 AM Current highest bids:
$1,600 for everything (from yaxay.com)
$1,050 for forum alone - BoA
I am not sure which one is bigger offer, since I want all of them sold. but I think BoA is leading.
Niklas 01-10-2004, 10:10 AM Highest bid:
$1700 - BoA
Do you have MSN?
^yes,
xeromwam@hotmail.com
Niklas 01-10-2004, 06:07 PM Sites sold, thread can be closed :)
