I want to try this out on an old machine but i couldn't get the Boot-disks to work. Does anyone have any ideas how to do this? the documentation is detailed but doesn't help me with the boot disks just not booting.
Thanks

How are you creating the boot disks?

i followed the instructions which said somthing like
in MSDOS type
X:\> tools\fdimage floppies\kern.flp A:
i did it as mentioned but they just wouldn't boot?
i used two disks. put kern.flp and mfsroot.flp one on each.

It'd probably help if you tell us exactly what happens when you try to boot.

sorry i usually forget the obvious.
I tried booting from the CD and it worked in my decent PC but not in the low spec PC i am using for BSD, even tho i had set to boot from CD.
It attempts to boot from the floppy disk but then just says insert bootable media.

Just checking, did you make sure that you put in kern.flp first? It will then ask you for mfsroot.flp. Also, maybe check your bios? Is it set to boot from the floppy first?

Well i put in the disks in the right order and now get NTLDR cant be found or somting.
any one got any detailed instructions how to install the files onto the boot disks?
Had the same thing happen to me.
This is how i fixed it.
MAKE SURE you image copy the file in PURE DOS mode. Using widows shell dos WILL NOT work. That's how i fixed my problem.
