Hi all,

A few months back, I got a dedicated server with version12.net and at the same time I paid for the domain name moose-shack.net.
I wanted to control the domain, but was told I would have to wait 60 days before I can move it to my UKreg account.

Version12.net was sold to another company fairly recently, so I emailed them to request changing IP Tags to UKreg so I can control it.

Got an email today saying I got to prove that I own the domain - to which I have no email confirmation of it (only server ready email).

I emailed the contact at this company about it, and said I have all the emails from version12.net including them telling me how to set up name servers by hand for moose-shack.net, but feel they may want more.

Any idea how I can get control of the domain name?
I used dig on the domain, and the registration details do not show me AT ALL as owning it.

Have you tried telephoning Five Star Communications (the listed Administrative Contact for the domain)?
