I want to know how many swap partition we can create at the time of Installation of Linux .Since I know Generally we define the size of swap partition as double of RAM .But I want to know how much we can allot the maximum size for one swap partition.:confused:

The rules are generally.
A Max of 8 x 2GB Partitions for a total of 16GB of swap.

Are you sure.Because when I allot more than 128mb for a single swap partion on my stand alone machine it shows error.:(

I have surely used swap partitions a lot larger than 128 megs without problems.
What kind of error do you get?
