Obviously this has just been discovered... I'm sure one of the many things Bush looked into before going to war in Iraq was Saddams health. <removed>.

hopefully the stress will spead things up and he won't make it that long and we can have one less thing to waste more taxpayer money on another famous multi-million dollar trial.

Can you ask your ouija board about my fatal trap 12 while in kernel mode?

Maybe they can delay the trial for 2 years.
I don't think Bush wants this guy to talk.

For those of you who ask the question "Why couldn't they wait years?", i say that your are jumping to the conclusion that they knew about it.

A leader in his position where his control was dictated in the way that it was would not allow you to let that info get into the public domain [that kind of health weakness] if Saddam himself knew at all.

This could be news to him and if it isn't, it is unlikely that we would know through intel and only if we could actually get our hands on him which we have now.

If you wait 2 years then that is another 24 months of persecution etc but let's not get into that and the reasons for war stuff, that is behind us.

How this affects the trial we will ust have to wait and see.

Remember we are still waiting for confirmation but it appears a bit too specific to make up for your front page splash but you never know.

I so doubt it, first Osama Bin Laden has it, then Saddam H.; I mean are they making this stuff up?

Isn't this already well known that saddam has cancer? I remember reading about it ages ago. If I remember correctly, it was around the time when he got his koran ( sp? ) printed with his own blood?

Haze, well i wasn't aware of it and i keep my ear to the ground for this kind of info but i could've missed it maybe.

I'm not sure when he had that printed but regardless of whether we knew or not at the time, i'd put to you that we most likely didn't know it was terminal which is what this report states.

Aea, we don't know whether it is True or not for sure but i do think the chances of both Saddam and Osama are real; isn't Bin Laden's alleged illness to do with his liver; the last statistic i heard was that 1 in 3 people will know of/know someone who has Cancer of some sort/

With those kind of odds and how the Universe treats people it is quite possible, i suppose there would be a kind of Symmetry to it if it were true.

No way. Sadam was ready to start blasting US and the rest of world with nuclear and other WMD within weeks. Bush and Blair saved Free world and all our lives.

I dont think letting him die and letting his sons take over was a much better option.

Now, but they would be alive if we had waited around for him to die on his own without acting.

they got samples of his DNA, but they didn't know that he had cancer-whats the odds of this?

They knew he had WMD somewhere -maybe MARS- and he's ready to launch it from there in 45 min, and they didnt know he had cancer- if he really suffering from it.

i don't know who to believe anymore.

MDJ2000

Well, the DNA means nothing as to whether he has cancer, as they got the DNA from his family members, not him.

I'll give the WMD issue a while yet before I draw any conclusions, I just don't trust Syria, Iran, Jordan and the like, particulary Syria.
