HI again
I have a question about searching for a hosting reseller.

How can you tell if the place you are looking at is just a reseller themselves selling reseller accounts.

What do you look for when trying to cut out the middle man and get a reseller account straight form the source?

Thanks
Steve

Sometimes it's hard to spot. You can look at their dns zone information, do reverse dns for their IP addresses, things like that...

However, it is possible to cover all that stuff up. The best way is to ask, and if you're not sure whether to trust them or not, then they're likely not the host for you anyway. After all, you need to put some trust in your upstream.

Alot of ways to tell is, by how long there company has been established, you can do DBA Search which if they dont have an ID, that shows there not a ligit company. Your best bet, goto the Dedicated Companies Above, or ask around well good luck with what ya doing.

Takes about 10 minutes to find the reseller :) 99% of hosts offering reseller accounts forget something.

The one I catch a lot if looking is the SOA records on the DNS.. A lot seem to forget that part, and you see "root.servername.otherhostsname.com." or whatever :)
