Anyone know of any good online/ or offline sources of information on how to learn about manipulating apache from linux shell?
I want to learn more about linux and apache, but can't seem to find any good information sources.

"Linux Apache web server administration" by Charles Aulds (part of the Craig Hunt Linux Library) is a pretty good book for Linux/Apache administration.

OTOH, you are playing with fire :D Messing with Apache outside the RaQ control panel (unless you know exactly what you are doing) is just not a good idea. The control panle is pretty pickey and if you start changing the config file outside the control panel is just not a good idea.
