Hello
Say, my domain name is "www.mydomain.com" and I would like to host contents under another sub domain name say "mmm.mydomain.com".
My question is, do I have to pay domain registering fee for "mmm.mydomain.com"? I have already paid $10 to register "www.mydomain.com". Please could you shade a light on this question?
Cheers,

no you pay to register the *domain* ie. domain.com
the creation of a variety of "host" details like
www.
www2.
etc is not part of your domain registration
they require an A record on the NaneServer, pointing at the hosting account you have
You will probably have to talk to your host about this, as what to do depends entirely on how their system is structured.

You don't have registered a domainname www.mydomain.com but the domainname is mydomain.com
ALL what is before mydomain.com, www. or xyz. or wauwau. belongs to you. You don't register it, you simply create it (and set the DNS entries and look for hosting).
This also means, you are responsible for it. You never can say xxx.mydomain.com does not belong to me, its another one, the s*** there is outside my obligaten. No. Its yours.
So normal all domains are able to reach both by www.mydomain.com and by mydomain.com

subdomain can be created with the hosting from your hosting provider.
