This is a poor excuse for a rip. The website won't be around for much more longer. Jordan will have it removed within no time. As for the prices, they aren't much more expensive than companies like Ceonex and so forth. I have read reports where just databases alone are estimated anywhere from 1k-10k.

Their html is so awful that it doesn't work with nether Opera nor Mozilla.

yep i can't see it in mozilla...

i'd tell eric or tony next time i talk with them but there's so many rips that there's no point. 3 hours after they released v4 there was a rip of it. but they might just send a cease and desist letter and scare them into taking it down.

oh and as for prices, it all depends on the project. but i've seen them range from 10K to more than 600K. but you gotta remember, almost half of the stuff 2advanced does nowadays is offline work: Flash based Applications, Intranets, Extranets, Corporate Presentations, Multimedia CD-ROMs, Broadcast Flash, Custom Audio, Tradeshow Kiosks, Prototypes, Concepts, and much more. And then a lot of the online work is restricted by NDAs (non disclosure agreements) so they can't say they made it or put it in their portfolio. therefore you only see a limited amount of work in their portfolio.

here's something tony novak said a while ago over at flashkit:

We have also found that price, while still a consideration, isn't paramount with the majority of our clients. Getting the job done right, in the shortest period of time with the best quality is foremost. Secondly, a firm that will be around tomorrow, established, highly professional and with a significant list of references. Finally, range of services also plays an important role; Print, Multimedia, Video, Custom Audio, Development (Java, C, C++, PHP, ASP, Coldfusion), Web Design...etc.

Pricing isn't something that I'll comment on, other than to say the obvious: "We are less expensive than Razorfish and more expensive than a Freelancer".

Yeah, I dont get how someone can rip such a large site and get away with it. 2A is a registered business (I'm going to assume) couldn't this korean campany get sued?

its extremely difficult to sue across countries. especially countries like korea or india. the laws are so different, it would be almost impossible to prosecute them. its extremely costly to even make international contracts (ie outsourcing work to another country and getting a legal contract to abide by). its way too much work to bother with.
