Hello everyone. First of all, before I start, I would like to state that I am new at this all. I have resold for two years, and have some grip on web-hosting, but I may sound like I don't know what I am talking about sometimes, so bear with me. I have recently bought a brand new server from Dell. The server is colocated in New Jersey, USA. I have hired some people to help me run my server, as well as give me professional advice about it. I have come up with some plans, and would like some advice. I do not know if the plans are good/average/or bad.
First of all, we have most of the latest equipment. We have 24/7 monitoring on our server in the data-center, the latest version of PLESK control panel, ability to make sub-domains, pop-3 e-mail boxes, My SQL database space, up to 20 GB of bandwidth, SSI and PHP support, great tech support, and a lot more.
Now, for the prices. This is what I am not sure of, so I would like your advice. Please note, these are our prices as of now, and we have already attracted 10 clients in 3 weeks, so it seems to be working to some degree. If anyone is interested, please check out the site!
The plans cosist of:

I also wanted to offer a special. For anyone who signs up in the next 10 days, the setup fee will be waved. Please visit site for more info. Thanks again, please give me feedback to make my server better.

Those don't seem too bad, but 1 POP3 email address for a 100mb account seems a bit low...

First of all, welcome to the WHT Forums. :) It really depends what you pay for bandwidth, employees and other expenses. Of course you can't sell 1GB of transfer for $2 if it costs you $5 - so i don't know if your prices are good or bad for your business, but they seem pretty much average, maybe a little too low.

Relyc, you mentioned 1 pop-3 is not enough. These are already built plans, and I realized that after I made it. I am selling extra pop-3s for under a dollar a month. We sell very cheap add-ons. I am also very lienient (how do I spell that?), well giving on the pop-3's. One reason I made it so less was because people abused them in the past, and I wanted to take it safe. I am always willing to arange to hand out extra pop-3's, so we could work out anything. And to let you know, our extra bandwidth (per 1 gig) will be no more than $5.00. We were thinking about selling them around $3-5, and we are recieving it at $2.50-4.50. This is a rough guess, so please don't sue me if it is more. If there are any more questions, please feel free to ask. I will try to answer them tonight or tomorrow. Thanks!

Hi,

If you are paying, at the minium, $2.50 per GB, then if someone was to utilise all the transfer on your proffessional account, you would be making a loss....
Plenty of hosts play the game where clients are not designed to use the full amount, and this works out for some, however, I recommend you be catious about doing this...

Regards, and good luck
Matt

Well, you asked  (Actually, the last two are purely to suggest the importance of a good dictionary)

Actually, I only meant to "preview" this. But sometimes I can't read the difference between them buttons, so I'm leaving it anyway.

Yes I agree with you all. Thank you SoftWearRevue, it was very late last night, and I could bearly think :) Also, people were mentioning how the pop-3s were very chensy. I have decided to make an add-on to give about 10 extra pop-3s, for about $1.00 a month. I have not finalized that, but that seems fair enough. I will get you the prices on extra hard disk space and bandwidth ASAP! Thank you!

Today, I decided to raise the Starter Plan to 5 pop-3 e-mails instead of none. I thought this is more reasonable, and I left the pop-3s at a low add-on price. Tell me what you guys think. Thanks!
