Do Managed.Com and Unitedcolo.com have anything in common, i went to managed site for the first time today and it struck me as something i had seen before, and then i went to unitedcolos because i remebered it and they are very similar and was just wondering if it was on purpose or they just happen to have similar designs?

Thanks

Anyway :(..

Peoplare WHT are saying that they have something in common.. and MANAGED says no :(

The other thing is that perhaps the old owner of UnitedColo sold UnitedColo and started another called Managed.com. Obviously he'd have similar ideas so it would look the same. But really it doesn't matter. If you read some reviews (an example is mine) you realize that just because they may seem like another company, they are not and their services are good whether or not they are affiliated.

Yes i've read the reviews of them being pretty good, and other times not the best but nothing terrible like united colo used to be. I'll keep an eye on the reviews before ordering a server but that $55 a month is a very nice price.

Imagination? Nope. Poor spelling? Yep. :D

Unite.colo goes to managed.com... which picks up traffic from people that can't spell uniteDcolo.com. ;)

Just like fdcservers.COM goes to server4you.com, instead of fdcservers.NET.

A lot of people buy domains that are common typos. Manged.com also goes to managed.com.

Peoplare WHT are saying that they have something in common.. and MANAGED says no BS meter going off here... Jacques Pham (previouys owner of United Colo) is listed as the owner of Managed.com's IP blocks - And Managed denies any connection? Gimme a break here.

Josh,

Give yourself a break and contact the Delaware Secretary of State -- Department of Corporation. Just ask for the file on Managed Solutions Group, Inc. and you'll see a different set of owners.

If you're too lazy to do this simple task, then your incorrect assumption speaks for itself.

Best Regards... Did I say that Jacques owned Managed.com? No. I simply stated that Jacques is involved in the operation of Managed.com.

Any idea if that means united.colo has gotten better? or just new ownership running it badly?

i've had a server with unitedcolo since before sagonet took over. after the initial move, i had some hardware problems (which i'm guessing was caused by the move, but I can't be certain). sago replaced the hardware for free, and since then i've had no complaints.

The Deleware Secretary of State -- Department of Corporation now lists who owns IP blocks? Wow interesting, I did not know that.

FYI -- The Secretary of State office maintains records that show the officers, directors, and owners of companies registered in each respective state.

Have fun reading those documents...

While I would really love to spend some time reading your incorporations documents somehow I think nowhere will I find the owner of your ip blocks. You will remember you stated:

Unfortueantly it was in repsonse to Joshua's comment:

I was just wondering why in the world would a comment about the owner of ip addresses solicit a comment to look at incorporation documents. I really don't think the two have anything to do with each other. If you are going to repsond to someone's rant here (which you should just ignore), respond to their actual comment.

& he decided to keep it under his name too... Anyway, if they seem like a stable company 6 months or a year from now, I might consider using them. I don't like using any company for anything that's mission critical if they haven't been around for a while, especially if some things look a little shady after research. Doesn't really matter though, just an interesting thing that Josh brought up.
