I have a question.
Let's say my business name is X and I own 3 websites - A, B, and C, all of which say "Owned by X Company".
Furthermore, let's say I have one merchant account for X and I have a PC program I can use to process any credit card orders I get.
If I use secure email forms for orders on all my websites - A, B, and C, the orders get sent to me and I can process the credit card payments myself using the PC program.
But what if I want to use payment gateways on all three of my sites.
Will merchant account providers like Authorize.Net allow me to pay for one gateway but use it on all 3 sites?
Do they provide API instructions I can use on any of my sites?
How are Return Pages (success pages) done? If I use the same gateway on 3 different websites, I want the users returned to the proper website when a transaction is completed.
For instance, we are Scarsdale Technologies and operate out of scarsdaletech.com, but we would like to offer hosting from, let's say, greathosting.com, we'd like to sell computer parts from greatcomputers.com and like to offer widgets at greatwidgets.com.
Do you see any problems if we got one merchant account and one gateway from Authorize.Net to use for all these sites?
