I'm having an SMTP problem with a couple of my users. They are unable to connect to my outgoing mail/SMTP server. Everything else seems to work fine including POP3. They aren't being denied relaying they just can't reach the server. Other users aren't having any problems. The users that are having problems are using Outlook Express and get a network unreachable error code 10051 message. Has anyone else experienced this or a similar problem? Any suggestions would be welcome. Thanks.
Check to see if their ISP blocks connections to port 25. This is the most common cause of this error.
Some ISP's block remote SMTP connections to help prevent SPAM relaying through other mail servers.
Have them setup their mail software so that their SMTP server is set to their ISP's SMTP server address and just change the 'from' and 'reply-to' fields to their domain account.
I figured it was something like that. Thanks much.

Just heads up, EarthLink does do this. I have verified this with my own tests as well as confirmation via a tech that works for them.
