View Full Version : Where can i get IIS ?

basically my server hasnt got the filles installed for it so i thought maybe i could download a setup file or sumin ?
possibly a Better upgraded version

OS is windows 2000

a link will be really helpful.

I dont think you download IIS, you must get it off the CD.

IIS is Microsoft's commercial product. I doubt anyone here, if they had a illegal copy would post a link to a downloadable image.. Could be wrong, but just guessing..

If you want something free look at apache :)

yeh thing is i need IIS for the control pannel..

i have IIS 6.0 on a windows XP cd ... can i use this with windows 2000 ?

No you must install IIS 5 from the W2K CD

Go to control panel/add/remove programs/windows setup.. and selcet IIS from there. It will prompt you for the w2k cd and install for you...

If you've not got the Server edition of Win2k then you're only going to be able to use IIS in a limited fashion, think it's limited to 5 concurrent connections or something like that.
