Good work :D You can have some "milk" for that :) hehehe
MCHost-Marc 09-28-2001, 07:49 AM Confirmed. Its Shang. The address matches with the registrations of Tacidhost. We usually don't give out customer details such as name or city, but if the majority of the hosts out there agree with me that the details should be on every host's blacklist i will post them here.
microsol 09-28-2001, 08:25 AM He's even using a version of vBulletin
http://board.glexicon.com/
Did he buy a license?
microsol 09-28-2001, 08:28 AM Uhhh, there's even more:

Justin S 09-28-2001, 07:04 PM What a small world... I remember critiquing that logo on another forum just a few days ago.
MCHost-Marc 09-28-2001, 07:06 PM All the content is still stored on our servers but we have temporarily blocked access for them to the account since last night. We contacted them but have not yet received a reply explaining us the situation.
Colin 09-28-2001, 07:44 PM WHT's favourite son Josuee has returned :D
I smell a chargeback coming up Kiwi's way... :eek2:
Although I wonder if he realises that repeated chargebacks can cause his credit card to be rejected from future internet billing...
mithilesh 09-28-2001, 07:51 PM Best of luck for your new web hosting company.

While most Internet companies are slowing down and going bankrupt, we are growing faster than ever!
After all what i heard and read on this forum about him i don't wonder why.

As I said you must be the best bullsh**** of all time...
MCHost-Marc 09-29-2001, 06:23 AM We've un-suspended the account (but will keep watching all further activities) after they confirmed that they will take down the site including copyrighted contents "until a valid site has been created" and "will completely erase the
GLEXICON.COM account and upload a "legal" site".
By the way, their corporation is legally registred in Delaware.
I will keep you guys updated ...and yes, i know what i'm doing, don't worry ;) :D

The only way for him to get business. Now at least someone CAN get sued. :D
steve 09-29-2001, 07:05 AM Any claims arising out of the use of the Glexicon Web site shall be resolved by arbitration in Houston, Texas in accordance with the then current rules of the American Arbitration Association. The internal laws of the State of Colorado (other than conflicts of law rules) and of the United States of America shall apply.
Cut and paste can be soooo tricky....;)
Adam Clarke 09-29-2001, 07:51 AM It was inevitable that Shang would come back into the web-hosting world. He probably has a few sites all chained or something.
I will say one thing the prices are a little bit more realistic this time round...
Shang I hope gods with your web hosting company, because no one on this earth will be...

Isn't it obvious those pictures are stolen from stock-photo sites like PhotoDisc or Corbis? I mean, look at the file names of those pics:
AA026465.gif
AA026466.gif
AA026455.gif
AA026456.gif
...
Who in their right mind would name graphics like that unless they were part of some huge catalog or something?

Badone 09-29-2001, 10:18 PM Just wondering, but has anyone contacted the companies that these designs have been stolen from? I'm not a lawyer, but couldn't they get a lawsuit against him for plagiarism? Thanks!

Dylan 09-29-2001, 11:24 PM What does Glexicon stand for? Let's think of some names. I can see one clearly but can't figure out what to make of the "l"
MCHost-Marc 09-29-2001, 11:26 PM Lexicon is an English-Greek and Greek-English dictionary for Un*x systems. It consists of two programs, lexicon (the actual command-line dictionary) and glexicon (a GTK+ UI for lexicon). It has a database of 13978 Greek and 13357 English words built into the program (no external dictionary file is necessary).

I guess shang has to open another hosting company now. :D :D :D
Dylan 09-30-2001, 06:54 PM Ok, I'll rephrase. Break the word up to make several new words.
G l ex i con
You fill in the blanks.
If you can't see it now <<shrug>>
JustinK 09-30-2001, 09:20 PM Hmmm my mind morphs it into Galaxy Con after I pronounce it. hehe... what was it you got from filling in the blanks?

If he posted the BBB logo on his site then he must abide by their standards and policies. Either that or he stole the logo too which will get him in some hot water real quick if the right people are called. Specifically the BBB themselves. Not sure if everyone knows this but to display the BBB logo, you must pay a membership just for that. That's above and beyond the normal BBB membership.
OdiSee 10-02-2001, 02:30 PM Shang's rumored company, Glexicon, is no more... when I found out what he had done, I suspended his account and terminated the Glexicon team. I've now deleted the account all together and will re-open it when a REAL Web site is completed (Glexicon will now be Glexicon Web Services and will be an OdiSee company). Ask Kiwi for verification of the account deletion if you wish...
Also: OdiSee never registered GLEXICON.COM, and the information provided is completely false. If for some reason you'd like to contact OdiSee Corporation, you may do so.
<<EDIT>>
I'll tell you straight... I'm pissed. Don't worry about Shang having anything to do with Glexicon, I won't allow it after he's damaged the reputation the OdiSee staff has worked hard for. I will warn you now - he may start another hosting company. Beware...
<<MOD NOTE:>>
I don't understand what any of this has to do with Odisee, but all the info and links aren't needed.

...strange, therefore, that the thousands of products offered by your corporation and daughter companies are not featured on your website, which is full of faulty links and empty pages. Or maybe not so strange...
OdiSee 10-03-2001, 06:17 AM No, not strange. Try to find OdiSee in a search engine... nothing.
