Learner 09-28-2000, 02:12 PM Technics, I don't think that is really a bad idea. 1. Moderators seem to have been selected keeping in mind Time Zones. 2. They may have different sub-forums to moderate. 3. And possibly other reasons which we are not yet aware of. SysAdmin seems to have made quite a good choice. Learner Laci 09-28-2000, 02:21 PM it might be to ensure that someone is always around to help :) -Edward- 09-28-2000, 02:35 PM The choices are good bar one but i wont say who cos its not fair. I just think its or or two too many. I think three would off been enough. Just my opinion. BC 09-28-2000, 06:51 PM Eddie, Quite frankly I do have some minor reservations about the no. of mods myself, but I think with the number we've got at least we should be able to cover the forums pretty much 24 hours a day and ensure quick, reliable responses. -Edward- 09-29-2000, 05:28 AM Well thats the plus side of it i guess. What can I do to earn your vote....your respect? Denounce myself as a member of the CDS? Give up my title and become just an ordinary "god" again? Tell me and I'll do it. I'll do anything!!!!! Well....almost anything.... kunal 09-29-2000, 01:43 PM MikeA, its me, not you :( :( -Edward- 09-30-2000, 12:28 PM Why are people so quick to throw the hat into the rin and think its them?. It's only an opinion and it doesnt really matter matt makes the choices here not me its his forum he can choose who he pleases. I still wont say who it is i was just saying there are too many. But after reading and posting to that "unbiased web hosting top 20" topic in the General Web Hosting forum, I've decided to create a "forum moderator index." All moderators of this forum will be ranked, and their performance reviewed. However, I'm dropping that crazy "no advertising" idea in favor of the more traditional approach used by host and ISP indexes everywhere; so you each will be sent an advertising rate card. Good luck! OhmyG hahahahoooooohaaaaahaahaahaahaa :D :D Just make sure you don't index moderators on how much they *cough* and *hack* around here... muhahahahahaaaaaaaaa :D This forum has really been getting quite entertaining lately :D :D :D <wipes tears> Whoooooaaaaaaa... now that I'm in control of my senses, I am thinking on a more serious note :) It would be a nice idea to also review and index all forums like these on several criterion... Name of the forum. Date of forum starting. Forum speciality. No. of threads/posts (monthly or weekly updates). Names of various Sub-Forums within. Quality of help generally offered. Which BB it uses. Top Posters. Etc. ... because we guys are having a hard time finding such good forums anyway!!!! However, I'm dropping that crazy "no advertising" idea... So you soon realized it always boils down to money in the end... CHEERS!!!!! :D Learner Laci 10-01-2000, 09:41 AM Originally posted by JayC Originally posted by Technics It's only an opinion and it doesnt really matterIt doesn't matter, because it's only one person's opinion.
