For those of you that have used it, or are currently using it, what has been the outcome from it? Is it something good to go with for advertising? How many sign up have you received since you ran your ads here? Has it increased from before you placed them up?

Sorry for so many questions. I'm doing my research right now.

No, the majority of people here are hosts. If your selling a product for hosting business's thats a different idea. Probably best to stick to webmaster type sites.

True. Where would be the best places to advertise with a $200-250 budget?

You may want to try target your ads on yaxay.com which targets the majority of webmasters.

Yaxay doesn't get as much audience as it use to. It's mostly the same 15-30 people on at various times a day.

Interested in local market?

If not, that amount wont go a long ways as an advertising budget, so use it as a test means.

Sample out little bits of a lot of things and just see how they play out. Granted advertising is in now way a short term procedure, yet you can possibly get a fraction of feedback and ideas.

Search engine/ppc/adwords/etc
Affiliate program, internal and external
ads on webmaster forums
local market? (if interested can go into more detail)
telemarketing
hosting directories
online or local shoutcast/radio ads
many many more

really would help to know target market, goals, timeframe, etc... gl, post any questions you may have.

Yes, I am interested in hosting in the local market, but I am not sure how I would go about it. I know about the forms of local advertising are available, but which would be best?

Telemarketing is out of the question. Why? Most don't like this form of advertisement, therefore, I won't support it since I oppose it as well.

If you want to target your local market why not try advertising in the local newspaper, you could even get leaflets printed and go door to door.

You could also try sponsering a local event.

I have never tried these techniques so have no idea what return you are likely to get but it's an idea ;)
