I run a single site off my raq, with my site on the server i still have a generous amount of bandwidth and space left so ive figured ill allow my friend to resell some space from it, how the best way to do this, ive heard of a program called webhostmanager, where can i get this?
Any other alternatives would be much appreciated.

Web Host Manager can't be used with Cobalt Appliances. There are usually used with Linux Servers.

thanks Omair, i
do have a question tho. How do you offer reseller space off your RAQ?
I dont want my friend hasseling me to create an account every ten minutes, and i dont want to give him access to my server so is there any alternatives to Webhostmanager?

You can get it from Burst. But it is costly.

I would buy AutoSetup at:
http://autosetup.northwesthost.com/
Then give your friend access to that. This way it will set the
site up automatically for him and you.
I own this script and love it. I let my certain resellers access to
add new sites when they need to.

Hello Ashley,
Right now I am ask my reseller to email me the domain and I set it up for them.
But I am considering changing the type the reseller plan is.
Below is what I would be changing my reseller plan to:
Resellers would get a reseller plan which would contain around 100mb space, 5gb traffic, ded. IP and 10 Pop accounts for US$x.xx/month
Then I would offer them special discount on the normal hosting packages I offer and would setup the script (Auto Setup found at http://autosetup.northwesthost.com) to ask for their reseller username and password, if the password matches, reseller would be able to pay and create accounts at the fly.
This way reseller would be at an ease and would be able to signup for their clients whenever they want without emailing me and asking me to setup their sites. :)
That's just the idea.
I am working on it. :)

There is really no way for them to change the specifics of a site unless they had admin access. IE. site space, add more pop's, change DNS, MX records, etc.
They can access the site they set up via siteadmin.
I recommend to my resellers to put their own email in the Autosetup script, get the email, change it to their liking and forward it to their customer.
If the site space needs changing or etc, then the server admin would have to do that. There really is no other way.
Normally it is getting the site set up that is the hassel, doing a minor change on the site is not a big deal.
If you trust your friend then I would say get him admin access. That is if you personally know them and trust them 110%
