Hi,

I am interested in going into domain reselling... But doubts put a stop on my plans. Hopefully, any domain reseller would kindly shared with me or everyone.. :)

May I know what's the worst nightmare encounter by domain reseller? Charge-Back problems?.... or others???

Things to be careful/ look out for?? Solutions to the problems???

Happy New Year Everyone!!!! ;)
PEACE.

ok, some words of advice ...

1. there's no money in it - too many people already doing it with some big names running it at a notable loss in order to own the market, so unless you're adding "value" somehow why will people pick you ?

2. there's no money in it - margins are small, credit card processing fees are high and chragebacks/fraudulent orders are a problemn to all online retailers (sadly) with stolen card numbers being a big issue worldwide at present - so what little you might make will vanish to the banks

3. there's no money in it - most domian purchasers appear entirely motivated by price - 100's of threads every day on WHT asking" who is best regsitrar" invariably get responses like "xyz because they only charge $1" rather than any logic chosing a registration agent which is likely to still be around in 5 years due to having a decent business model, or offering needed/wanted features

4. there's no money in it - startup costs are high to get into the business properly - $6950 deposit to enom to get best ETP pricing, hosting/server fees for your site and V.A.Services, software licencing costs, automation costs etc - software like DRAMS can help a lot, but plug it into your own designed site - getting a $50 site template is no use - you'll look exactly like the 87,000 other users of the template.

did i mention that there's no money in it yet ?

If this is going to be the main focus of your business, my suggestion is look for another one !

as othellotech said domains these days are value added services unless your domains have some free services like web-based dns or something

registerfly.com offering domains on low cost with SO many free services. as an example

Hi,

Thank you for all your comments. :)

BTW, does reseller like namecheap uses drams?

And also, what's the best merchant account or payment processor to use with low fees? AuthorizeNet, Charge.com, WorldPay... etc

Thanks!!!

No one makes money from selling domains except registrars. Take it as a way to offer more services to your customer under your own banner.
