Is it just me or is my server at Burst.net getting a lot of packet loss? I have pinged it from multiple locations with the same results. It's been like this for a week or so now. I am losing as high as 60% of the packets from all over the place. Doing a ping to their own url (http://www.burst.net) shows the same results. Anyone else on Burst.net getting this or is it just me??

I don't know why you face this problem?

#ping burst.net

Pinging burst.net [66.96.192.201] with 32 bytes of data:

Reply from 66.96.192.201: bytes=32 time=579ms TTL=244
Reply from 66.96.192.201: bytes=32 time=565ms TTL=244
Reply from 66.96.192.201: bytes=32 time=562ms TTL=244
Reply from 66.96.192.201: bytes=32 time=560ms TTL=244

Ping statistics for 66.96.192.201:
Packets: Sent = 4, Received = 4, Lost = 0 (0% loss),
Approximate round trip times in milli-seconds:
Minimum = 560ms, Maximum = 579ms, Average = 566ms

no packet loss from my 56 k connection i think there is problem with your isp.

Have you checked the graph that I gave previously? I simultaneously ping (with pingplotter) Interserver.net, Site5.com, and Burst.net and the graph show Burst.net was indeed having problems. Now, this must have nothing to do with my ISP since it it's the case then all three will have problems of the same nature.

Besides, you only do ping within a 20 seconds period. Not good enough to tell if the network is having problems or not, since during that 20 seconds the network might very well perform normal and going bad at other times. I set my pingplotter to ping the networks every 15 seconds for more than 72 hours already now.

It's better now but not at the time of my first message. It was like that for a whole week. I think they found the problem and fixed it.

Dektong: Could you point me to where I can get that software? It seems like a perfect tool to monitor these type of things.
