Colo4Dallas is a great facility with an enormous amount of amenities with room to grow. Other data centers in Dallas include COLO.com (I've used them in the past, but they've since went bankrupt and were purchased by BJK) and Collocation Solutions at the Infomart. Qwest, Exodus, Equinox, LoopZero, Level3, and ThePlanet also provide collocation in Dallas I believe. Hope that helps :) Justin S 09-26-2001, 02:03 PM I believe http://www.affordablecolo.com has space in a NOC in Dallas, which is where they put their colocation customers. lars 09-26-2001, 02:13 PM Yes, affordablecolo.com is also located in the Colo4Dallas facility. They are a bandwidth customer of mine. They offer very competitive pricing and have, in my opinion, a very good track record of getting people up and running in a timely fashion. Their bandwidth usage shows it. cbaker17 09-26-2001, 08:10 PM Colo4dallas is a great facility and great staff, they can get you up and running fast.. that would be why we have so much space in their facility :) If you want you can go direct through paul at colo4dallas 214-630-3100 x27 Ericwenlong 09-27-2001, 05:32 AM Who are those bandwidth providers who are linked to colo4dallas? And how much would bandwidth cost ? 1 MBPS = 10 MBPS = 100 MBPS = 1 GBPS = cbaker17 09-27-2001, 09:11 AM bw providers will have to email you privalty for that info as it cant be posted since its a non advertising forum but for anything less than 45mbps its best for you too go through a tier 2 provider, bandwidth pricing can range quite a bit based on how much you buy, from 3.00/gig - 1.00/gig through many of the providers in colo4dallas lars 10-25-2001, 05:01 PM I don't appreciate being censored above!!! I think that Mr. Baker can attest to the fact that my opinion is indeed a valid. JBIZ718 10-25-2001, 05:40 PM Aperian is also a datacenter In dallas i think Joe RackMy.com 10-25-2001, 06:04 PM Lars, Your were censored because they were probably SPAMMERS and abused the board. Chicken 10-25-2001, 06:45 PM Originally posted by lars My company ****** provides Internet services http://www.******.net ...Yes, and an example of that board-spamming is this thread and your post. Representatives of your company seem to have a problem understanding: http://www.webhostingtalk.com/misc.php?s=&action=forum-rules I'll return your report of this thread and discuss it off board... lars 10-30-2001, 06:46 PM I'm not the spammer, a sales guy in Dallas is. I am a reputable source trying to have a discussion. In my post, which was a reply to a question, I listed my company along with close to 15 others. This should be allowed. I'm a technical poster, I've even contributed perl source code in other forums that I've written myself. I did not mean to abuse any rule or regulation you have in place, but at the same time, every time I say ****** (<--- note, you will not see this, because it will be removed by the moderator) it gets removed by the moderator. Guilt by association is at play here. Give it a rest man, if you want me to stop contributing, just say so and I'll never again return to this website. Chicken 10-30-2001, 09:41 PM Lars, the moderators do not remove the word ******, it is automatically censored by the forum software due to three ****** employees who seem unable to comprehend: Participants may not use the forum to publish or discuss any information regarding their product or services, or any product or services they are, or have been, associated with. This includes suggesting your own services. Participants may not use the Forum to direct others to any pages at their own commercial website, including informational pages. Participants may not use the Forum to direct other to any pages which they have a commercial interest in, these include commission or referral hyperlinks. ...and the rest at: http://www.webhostingtalk.com/misc.php?s=&action=forum-rules I'm not sure how we can make the guidelines any clearer. In your post, as you said, you listed your company along with 15 others. Can you see where the problem is? You can participate within the forum guidelines. You can contribute perl source code (not sure what that has to do with anything but...). What you cannot do is use the forum to publish or discuss any information regarding their product or services, or any product or services they are, or have been, associated with. This includes suggesting your own services. I really don't know how else to express it to you. |
