Well we have narrowed down to two places to colo a server at. It is either Rackmy.com or Efree. Rackmy is going to cost 330 and I get around 80 GB of bandwith and Efree provides 200 for 199.
I would like to have the support that Rackmy offers it is only tier I support but my partner would prefer Efree where he is hosting. We are going to be running a lyris mail server there, and have talked with rackmy.com about hosting with them and they said no problems.
Thoughts/comments on both companies would be great

I'm going on 4 months with exactly 0% downtime with EFS...not counting, of course, a few reboots after software installs.
Aloha
hmm I am in the same boat ;)
Rackmy seams to have great support as efreeservers
rackmy seems very willing to work with people on support issues and there seems to be people there willing to do work if needed.
I am not sure the level of support that efreeservers can do ????
they do seem to just want to provide bandwith and a rack
rackmy gave me a fair quote to setup win2k and everything for me I am very impreses by rackmy so far ;)
I guess I would try to do some tracert and ping times etc... from where your customers might be
I had a friend of mine a tier2 provider check into efreeservers for me he said there network is not quite as strong as it could be ?
but everyone seems happy with them
I would say depending on if you will ever need support past basic reboots.
I am going to do some more investigating with provders on rackmy network (have my friend do it) but so far it seems very good
I am leaning toward rackmy to colo a server as I will not be using that much bandwith to start with figure a good way to test it out for a few months but so far it seems like a great place as does efreeservers ??
I know I am down the middle on this one just sahring my views.
so my answer would be if you need support go with rackmy if ya need cheaper bandwith then go with efreeserver.
I guess I am willing to pay more if I know it is solid and more redundant etc...

I saw an email today from my partner who has a server with them on the 20month contract, it was said that they are in contact with sprint or qwest everyday about getting another line.

Yes they are currently getting bw from Level3 and are getting a line from Qwest last I heard. I think they are just waiting for qwest to stop slackin and install the thing. I have a box with efreeservers and have nothing but good things to say about them. Like sbrad I havent had any downtime except when level3 had a router go out or I myself have rebooted my server there. RackMy.com seems like a good choice also......im sure you will be satisfied with whichever you choose.
