Beware!
On some sites Gb/month means Gbits/month.
When I first time found $2 per Gb/mont I thought this is amazing price, but when I started investigating that site, I found that they all transfers measure in Gbits, and price for one Gbyte/month will be no 2$/month but 16$/month. Which is not acceptable. I think it is a trickery set by some sites (such as awwm.com, and it's resellers are following same path)

Thanks for the warning Sergio. You were too easy on them, however. It's not just trickery, but a flat out lie. Gb is an abbreviation for gigabytes, not bits, as mb is for megabytes. No one seriously deals in bits at this level. They are using an abbreviation that means one thing and changing the meaning to suit their deceptive methods.

It's a lie, one more to watch out for. Let us remember that some liars and cheats are more skillful at deceit than others.

Hate to tell you this, the industry standard for throughput is bits. The industry standard for storage is bytes. I mean the IT industry, not just the hosting industry. Its one of those deep historical things.

Rent a leased line, and you get bits, why would you not pay per bit transfered if you lease part of a connection?

When you have leased line you don't pay for Gbits, you Pay for speed, which is measured in Gbits/second, it's a tradition to measure speed in bits per second. But when you speak about transfer (images, webPages, etc.) we usually measure such information not in bits but in bytes. It measures not speed but quantity of information.
