View Full Version : Bobcares.com customer service is HORRIBLE. 3 emails/PMs in 5 days - NO REPLY at all.
rickkumar 12-23-2003, 10:50 AM I needed new server set up (RH ES and C-panel) and also needed the ongoing management. So I thought I should ask BobCares. Sent many messages (emails and PMs ).
I even requested them to let me know if they don't want my business, but still no reply.
Either they don't have a customer service department OR they are not looking for any more new business.
Its hard to imagine that they are all on vacation :(
I can not believe a company can have complete disregard for its customers (or potential customers).
I hope someone reply soon.
Or our business is going somewhere else.
Does anyone have any issues with them?

demonmoo 12-23-2003, 11:24 AM If your looking for some one else (now that you seem to have given up on bobcares) try the employment offers forum .

Thank you.

Regards, Like many of the outsourced support groups, their slow response to sales inquiries is in no way reflective of their support services. Fortunately, they have a large support staff. However, I believe Amar may still be the only one making sales. Understand, they don't have a large sales volume as once a customer is sold, thats it for that customer.

I have even sent Amar messages.
I expect atleast a message like : "We will get back to you in 'this many horus or days' etc."
What bothers me is that they kept ignoring while I have seen Amar posting on WHT almost everyday during these days (You can even verify that by doing a search on WHT forums)
5 days is enough time to respond at least.
At least the customer can look somewhere else.
Well I just posted in 'employment offers forum' as suggested and guess what? 7 PMs received already.
Now I am wondering why did I waste 5 days requesting response from BobCares. I guess I was overly convinced about them, which certainly is not the case as I have seen now.
Anyway, WHT is great place to find anything a customer need and I am happy to have found it.
Thanks.

Hi!
Thank you for your mail.
Actually, the method suggested by the developer is good.
All you need is a good data center which has good support I am sure there are
many including the one you have mentioned. I would not suggest personally to
spend more money on support at this stage. Maybe at a later stage when the
traffic is a lot higher and you have multiple servers for failover condition
and load balancing etc. then a full time support group may be a good idea.
Look at it from bobcares point of view , I can offer the server administration
plan which would look after your monthly needs.
http://bobcares.com/pages/server_administration_plan.php
What I can add to this is free server monitoring and taking corrective action
in case the server goes down.
I look forward to your reply.
Have a great day :)
Regards
Amar

rusko 12-24-2003, 01:22 AM ... and now you have posted a private message publically, way to go.

bobcares 12-24-2003, 01:25 AM There is no interesting information in that message Paul. I think he has said more in the forums himself.
I had told him that his developers had given him the right advice.

bobcares 12-24-2003, 01:29 AM Interestingly the response time was less than 10 minutes.

rickkumar 12-24-2003, 01:37 AM Amar/Bobcares,
First of all I never got your message "at all". It just never arrived. You said that you responded rightaway and the message that you posted is showing Dec.20 date which was my earlier message.
After I did not receive any response, I again sent you another follow-up message via email and PM on Dec.22.
In order to prove my point, I will post my that message here:

Hello Amar
Hello Amar,
I sent you my message for some advice in order to select the 'proper/affordable' bobcares plan for our dating sites server.
I am going to pay for the server today. It will be at ServerMatrix RH ES with c-panel. SM servers come with silver management plan, but I guess we need more than that.
We are not going to sell any hosting to others. It is just for our own dating/matchmaking sites?
Please respond as quick as possible as I have to provide the server to my developer in India in a day or two.
I am looking for something that takes care pf first configuartion/security and then help as needed.
Please advise me if Bobcares has something suitable for us or not.
Thanks for your time.

Well if you had responded as you claim, why would I ever send you another message on Dec.22?
I don't know......I am not the kind of person to complain right away but as you see I thought bobcares doesn't care any more.
But anyway.........I am going to read your respone above now.
Thanks.

rickkumar 12-24-2003, 01:45 AM Bobcares,
Please edit your message again and remove my email address from all the "three" places in your post. I don't want anymore spam.

Rick Kumar
bobcares 12-24-2003, 03:30 AM The post have been edited (thanks to odd fact :) )
As far as the remaining of the post goes. You can decide yourself if we are bad or good. I am nobody to change your views.
My suggestion was a very honest one and from the heart as I did not want you to spend a lot of money at this stage (even if that money was being spent on bobcares ;) )
I would always say take a good datacenter with a managed service and then rely on your developers.
If the need comes tomorrow , there are always many organizations whom you can go to for help .
Setting up outsourced support does not take over 24 hours with just about anybody.
I wish you luck .
Have a wonderful Xmas
Regards
Amar
