I was just looking at managed.com and noticed that website looks similiar to unitedcolo.com. Does anyone know if they are related to one another?

I think managed.com bought WHT. Other wise we would not see so many great posts like your post.

Managed.com has nothing to do with unitedcolo.com. United colo bought united.com and is now in the airline business flying servers from cosy to cost.

managed.com has been great for me, almost 2 months, working good, I just use it as backup server, so cheap

unitedcolo, managed, and sfcolo are all the same.

Showing all 10.

Website
www.Managed.com
www.Manged.com
www.Serverwest.com
www.Serverwest.net
www.Sfcolo.com
www.Sfcolo.net
www.Unitecolo.com
www.Unitecolo.net
www.Unitedcolocation.com
www.Unitedcolocation.net

Those are just misspellings of unitedcolo, it does not prove that they are the same. It just shows that they are trying to pick up some business from bad typers.

sfcolo.com = managed.com, it redirects there.

http://www.whois.sc/managed.com and http://www.whois.sc/unitedcolo.com - they are NOT the same. UnitedColo was run/owned by Jacques Pham. They use the same designer. Managed claims that Jacques is only a consultant for them, but all of the Managed.com IP blocks are registered to him - http://ws.arin.net/cgi-bin/whois.pl?queryinput=P%20!%20JPH47-ARIN . They are not the same company though, and are not even in the same location. UnitedColo was sold to SagoNet, and SagoNet in Florida now runs it (and all servers are located there too).

See, I dont know what you're trying to prove with this one...

It'd be like me registering xingkong-hostING.com and pointing it to my webspace. I don't have to be related to your business in order to do that either. So it doesn't really prove anything.

Managed.com purchased the UNITEcolo.com domain for mistype traffic - that is not the same as UNITEDcolo.com .

Nothing rare. I wonder how many sales fdcservers.NET loses to Server4you. ;)

fdcservers.COM => server4you.com

That one's pretty bad. I couldn't picture not having the .COM version of my main domain.

Seems to be a different owner though -- maybe s4y buys traffic? No idea, but if that's the case, and it's worth it for S4Y, then you'd think that it would be even more-worth-it for FDC.
