What exactly is a reseller or a reseller package?

A reseller package is when you purchase a hosting account and you can create sub accounts within your account which you can host different domain on.

All domains will have their own e-mail, control panel ftp etc.

basically, you can add/remove accounts, resell your bandwidth and your space to someone else.

Yes, like inteltechs and webhostingj said, and all without having the problems of you having to manage the server.

Essentially its like having a REALLY fleixable and big hosting account that allows you to host others.

For i know, if you want, you can resell a bd ou space, but, if you dont want, you can use all the resources only for you! In fact, it's better you get a resell plan to shared plan, because it's cheaper.

pfoka: Actually, if you have no use for reseller abilities, it will be cheaper to get a shared account. It all depends on the host, though, since some sell a bulk set of space for cheap.

For me, it was a way to start my web hosting business. I am a programmer by trade, so I didn't know much about web hosting. Being a reseller let me lean on the admins to ensure the servers were taken care of while I focused on their front line needs (setup of PhP Nuke and the like). Also, the admins have been very helpful in teaching me the different aspects of taking care of the servers. It's definately been a win-win relationship for us so far.
