eboundmedia 12-22-2003, 01:08 AM What do you guys think about servers4you.com
any experiences with them. Are they reliable. The prices seem to good to be true. I am thinking of signing up with them. I just never head of them before.
ArtieFishill 12-22-2003, 01:18 AM Set up fees are little high...but I was looking at them as well...
eboundmedia 12-22-2003, 02:02 AM i tried to e-mail them and no responce. I tried to call them and the voice mail box is full. Doesnt look to good.
Mike in FL 12-22-2003, 02:38 AM I haven't had any problems with them... except that I prefer CPanel over Plesk/Ensim.
Here's a recent thread with a few comments on them: http://www.webhostingtalk.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=217705

Yeah, i said the same thing, until I thought about it, it's not that high taking in the fact that they install the stuff you need for you(e.i php, MySQl, sendmail, etc...)
And eboundmedia, have you tried there live support yet, When i was there i got a response.
klcodec 12-22-2003, 04:51 PM stay way, bad billing

holdika 12-24-2003, 10:58 AM I am a customer there and I like the server very much :)
cyberlot 12-24-2003, 11:51 AM I have 1 server with them.. I had some problems with setup delay but thats it. Otherwise very great service.
If you are the type of person that requires someone holding your hand.. they are not for you.
If you are the type of person that rarely ever has to contact support, once you get up and running all is good, you know how to handle and maintain the server they are great.
I look at it this way, I paided for a year in advance.. $69 a month for 2ghz 768 ram, 80gb hd and 700 gb bandwidth
Closest RackShack Solution
$129 a month
Nocster
$119 a month
And thats not including the fact that I could use plesk or ensim at no extra charge.
I have 2gb of backup.. No extra charge
Get the next up package.. Free Restores...
they are going through the pains of being a new company, but they are backed by one of the largested hosters in Europe.. They are not going anywhere anytime soon.
mainarea 12-24-2003, 12:36 PM I wouldn't feel comfortable paying a year in advance for a dedicated server, it's too risky IMO. Also, in a year, your hosting needs may change, but you'll still be stuck in a contract.

I currently use there services and the network is great! If want phone support from what I hear it is horrible, pretty much a 9-5 only. I have yet to find a problem that they couldn't fix through there ticket system within a 1 hour turn around.
W3HUB 12-26-2003, 02:54 AM I notice their live chat is always unavaliable and don't think they have a 24 x 7 technical support.
Regards,
Willy

Live chat is not for technical support.
They have 24/7/365 technical support and 1 hour reply guarantee...

When comparing on Monthly payments, which generally everyone likes: server4you.com is $84.00 per Month + Setup $149.00
www.fdcservers.com (not .Net) redirects to server4you.com .. any connection???

Server4You buys traffic from the owner of the FDCservers.COM domain, to pull mis-type traffic from people wanting to get to FDCservers.NET .
