Tired of using a reg cleaner and having it NOT REMOVE ALL UN NEEDED KEYS?????

Well, download REG SEEKER (http://www.hoverdesk.net/freeware.htm) and keep your registry as dry as a desert!!

I had reg vac,it always left keys,i was looking for a better reg cleaner, when i found this 2night,i was so happy!!

Reg Vac only took off about 6 keys every time i used it......
Reg Seeker took off 850 UN NEEDED KEYS!!!! My computer hasnt run this fine in along time!!!!!

I recommed this HANDS DOWN to everyone needing or wanting one...

I've been looking for a good registry cleaner...

I'm initially wary of beta programs that mess with the registry, but I downloaded it and installed it anyway. My computer is running a little faster, but I also rebooted it after 7 days.

I'll hold out before I make a judgement call on this program, but so far no problems. My main programs still work, so thats a plus. :)

612 or something... I ran it on my laptop and it only had bout 120.

The program is still on probabion before it gets added to my "must install list".

I will try it. Thanks.

[and there is nothing to fear if you back up your registry before cleaning up.]

It's beta: Note : If after a cleanup, your Add/Remove control panel doesn't work (release 1.05RC3), just download this reg file and merge it into your registry

I'll stay away from this thanks.

Thanks for the link TheDude. Just tried it and it found over 700 in the first run through. I ran it three times before it came back with no results though (second time found about 20 and the last time about 5 or so).

Doesn't seem to have caused any problems on my PC yet either. Hopefully it'll help it run a bit more smoothly.

Hmmm,

It must store all that info on a chip instead,am i right?? That would prove to be a better way to store things i think.....

What if you wanna "clean it of un-needed things"??? A trational reg cleaner that looks for a file wont work!!

Linux is linux, its not winblows.

I never came across an un-needed thing in linux so...

I guess i dont know that much about Linux (hehehe)

I'd be interested in learning if the registry is stored on a chip like i tihnk it is (Only other way i would think)

As I said before... there is NO registry...

The registry is just garbage Microsoft created, to store the same thing (program access information) in 32 different areas.

Windows is a bloated platform... try running Photoshop on Linux (via Crossover Office) and it actually runs faster

Dude:

Linux is granular, like Unix -- not centralized, multi-layered bloatware ala Windows. Therefore, each application or executable usually stores the ini files or data (similar to what would be in the Win reg file) in its own area. That way it has what it needs when it needs it, and when you remove an app or executable you remove the no longer needed ini data with it.

Superior.

And it also looks better :D
Ever see a gnome desktop?

Man... when I was using XP I thought hmm... that's nice, I skinned it modded it, put samurize on it, what not.

Thought I had the best looking desktop ever.

I got linux, and I use gnome. :D

Got a link to screenshots of the latest gnome desktop? I've recently seen the new Ximian and I thought it was really sharp.
