Anyone have any advice about Technohosts? I signed up for their service on 8/31, they finally got my IP working on 9/20, and now I see my sites are constantly down, along with the technohosts site. I can't even get my email. The 30 day guarantee will be running out in a couple days. Should I bail or should I stick it out with these guys? I can't deal with a situation like this.
I'm willing to pay more money for a host that has quick customer service and doesn't let my sites and email go down constantly. It just seems that every host I use has bad customer service, and my sites are always going down. Any suggestions?

I can't make any host suggestions, but I can say one thing. Trust what the voices in the back of your head are telling you (of course if you don't have any voices I'll gladly lend you some of mine).

That right there'll answer your question. Find a host who's customer service is good by trying it out first. This doesn't always show what it's like as a customer, but it's a start. Read reviews (again, not always to be trusted) and then select from there. It's good to see what people have to say, but there are times you have to find things out for yourself. It may take you awhile to find the host that fits your niche, but eventually you'll either run across someone or find the time to learn how to run your own dedicated server. :)

They are kinda new I believe. Well, May of this year.
If you use the search function on this board you will get more information on them. ;)
Here's a couple to get you started. . . .

Being new isn't always bad. But, sometimes it boils down to whether or not you can afford to hang around while they get their new business sorted out.

I tried the dreaded ***** before trying technohosts. Needless to say, it caused me enough stress to nearly attempt seppuku. I hate to insult another webhost, but honestly, technohosts have only been slightly better. I've actually had some progress with them after 3 weeks. Although, this whole site problem today is causing me tons of problems. I'm probably losing visitors by the minute, I'm losing tons of email that I should be getting right now... and I have no doubt that I will never see it, even after the site goes back up... I'm getting fatal errors from the voice xml application I have running through tellme services because it can't read my vxml document from my site, etc.
It's a nightmare.

We've been having some issues lately with our servers, as you know. We are currently working on it. The issues should be fixed in a few minutes

Our New York City facility is currently stabalizing, and we have setup servers on a different verio network for backup.

What was the problem? Just out of curosity. You use verio as your main center as well correct?
