 | View Full Version : GeoTrust vs. ChainedSSL steveTobb 12-20-2003, 04:08 PM xeoHosting is planning to purchase a SSL cert, but when i came across it at ev1servers, i noticed that one is extremely more expensive than the other. i know there is a reason for this, but could someone explain why this is true? thanks, xeoHosting. The most likely benefit of the Geotrust cert over the chained is better browser support (the number of browsers that "trust" the certificate and don't popup a warning box) i don't think the Chained cert supports mozilla, both would be ok with IE, not sure about other browsers.
