Its up and working for my domains and Im not really into the techinical side of stuff on my server setup but wanted to do it myself for fun.

bind is running under the latest redhat os and my domains are serving up fine at www.my.com but I want to allow people to just type my.com and also let traffic through.

what files do I edit and what do I add to allow this?

you need to create a cname record for those domains.. so basically you need to add the following lines :


www 14400 IN CNAME domain.com.
