um, a few hints:
mention hosting and other such key words a lot on your site
don't use stupid hidden text
have good metatags
have a good title
get a hell of a lot of sites to link to yours
wish really really hard
ahh..i don't know...just ignore...hehehe :D
I'd recommend reading Google's search technology explanation at this page:
http://www.google.com/technology/index.html
I don't think it'd be possible to pay someone to get your site in the top 10. It's mainly based on the number of sites that link to yours.

You mean the text ads on the right side?
Has anyone tried it before and have good results at google.com?

What he's asking, I assume, is not to pay directly for a top 10 ranking, but for someone to manage the process of getting the site ranked highly. It is possible, and it is common.
My point is, eSiteHost isn't asking for advice on how to get the page ranked; like a lot of website owners he's decided that he'd rather spend his time running his business and pay someone else to manage the search engine positioning process.
(Sheesh, when people are looking for web hosts you don't see me saying "hey don't pay somebody else to host your site, do it yourself! :) )

I used googles adwords - the ads down the right side of the search results. I got a lot of traffic. Too bad nobody bought anything...
I got a bunch of false signups and people trying to use fake credit cards.
Not much luck with google...:(
