Heard it first in this spring in an Irish bar in Paris in the rain. Just the right kind of weekend mood. (And yes, it's been p...ing down here in Austria, too!)
Lazy Sunday afternoon playing around with sliding layers  :o ;)
JustinK 09-23-2001, 02:43 PM I'm listening to Garbage's "Version 2" album on cd & their "beautiful garbage" album on the computer. Yes, it isn't released yet and I should pay for it, but I can't yet. Did pre-order it however. :) October 2nd, the day of beautiful garbage!

Gotta love that sweet sound, sometimes I hear HDs spinning and they sound like if they are going to blow.
And the COLD air flowing from the top of the vents into my head. I have to wear this sweater everyday when I come in to work.

previous to that - Creed (My Own Prision)
probably next - Peter Murphy (Wild Birds)
one of those days where big guitar, big male vocal seems to do the trick :) Usually on a day like this it ends later at night with the total opposite - female vocal, slower, things like Paris By Night, or Mazzy Star..

Craig 09-28-2001, 10:10 PM well this morning, its 3am now.. im listening to: Deftones - the white pony
Why? well i like the deftones... and im also waiting for a program to come on the TV that i can watch in bed.
The tv show im waiting for is: The Last of the Hiding Tribes:
The decline of Brazil's Uru Eu Wau Wau tribe.
The other night i watched a program about the miya (sp?)
and how they collapsed.
Its very interesting, i found it rather clever how, in those days, they build really huge reservoirs to keep all their water for the dry seasons, they build the town with guttering so all the rain water, in the rainy season ran into the resvoirs. these things were not the size of puddles but 2million gallons big!
Really really interesting stuff....
Craig
creid 09-28-2001, 11:09 PM deftones are awsome!

Hey, me too. I was supposed to see TOOL Sept 11th - but, obviously, the concert was postponed until the 13th. We went - it was awesome. Maynard gave us his thoughts on it. Interesting.

rockergrrl 10-03-2001, 11:17 PM I listen to several CD all day long...
Today:
Veruca Salt - Resolver
Nina Gordon - Tonight and the Rest of my Life
Tori Amos - Strange Little Girls
Tori Amos - To Venus and Back

Cyberpunk 10-04-2001, 12:08 AM Dub Syndicate - Stoned Immaculate
Ministry - Land of Rape and Honey (Golden Dawn, stigmata are faves, also Jesus built my Hotrod off another album :))
Skinny Puppy - Too Dark Park
And a huge mp3 mix which is basically a random play of 6 GB of things including Chilli's, Faith no More, Dennis Leary, Pink Floyd, White Zombie, Ozric Tentacles, Lee scratch perry, bonzer dog dooh dah band, 15 years worth tending towards dub/industrial/rock/strange aargh, this message'd be a mile long if I go on.....
Aloha
Cyberpunk
I used to be into a kinda industrial scene ;)
mostly one of my fav is Front 242
or revolting cocks, nitzer eb,DiKruzen (spelling ?) and a few others
I had a bud big time into skinny puppy ;)
a bunch of other stuff used to spin so had around 6000 vinyl 12" at one time now cut it down to around 2000 and going to do some more so I will only have 500 or so of my all time favorites then burn em on cd when I can ;)
Cyberpunk 10-04-2001, 05:35 AM Nice one Honu.
Havent heard some of the bands you mention for ages.
I love skinny puppy, some of it is downright haunting or eerie :D
Unfortunately I dont have much of a music collection that survived, keep telling myself I'll have to build it all up again, what I have I harvested off the web in recent years (most of my friends refuse to acknowlege Industrial is music  ) - most people just dont realise how much Modern music owes to it.
P.S. - I still cant listen to Revco's version of Rod Stewarts Do ya think I'm sexy without laughing :D
bigperm 10-04-2001, 08:16 AM I never would have expected another proganadhi fan on this of all boards.
Right now - Staind - Break the Cycle - On the Outside
My favorite song right now though is Boy Sets Fire - After the Eulogy... Like somone said on another forum... I could kill anyone listening to that song, lot's of almost patrotic energy and screaming about anger and rage.
JustinK 10-04-2001, 07:05 PM I just got the beautiful garbage cd in the mail today. :')
I don't like tori amos... That cd with her in 4 different outfits on the cover was horrid. She killed all the songs that were "Originally peformed by" someone else.
