hi folks,

i'm in the middle of deciding which registrar to resell domains for, my company is uk based so i need to be able to offer all the usual tlds (.com, .net, .org, info, .biz etc) as well as local cctlds (.co.uk, .org.uk, .ltd.uk etc)

it would seem that after reading some of the posts here that enom is already out of the running due to problems with .uk domains, i'm now looking at tucows and wild west domains as i've been registering .uk domains through a tucows registrar and haven't found cheaper and have also been registering tlds with godaddy having not found anywhere as cheap and reliable in the same package

can any uk members please recommend a company to resell for? even if you're not from the uk but have some insight into this any help would be greatly appreciated

we plan on totally intergrating our website with the api of whoever we go with so that will also be a factor in our decision

we may be willing to look into reselling for 2 different companies if we find we can intergrate with them without too much hassle

kindest regards,
Robert

rrpproxy.net is a very reliable company. they are icann accredited and offer tons of other ccTlds

never tried rrpproxy.net but enom works just fine and they have great tools for resellers such as PDQ registry rocket and very nice API

If you're UK based why don't you become a Nominet tagholder and register direct?

there is the Nominet member route which I can recommend, the automaton is pretty easy to handle.

What is this problem with enom & uk domains ?

We're very happy with enom for all the com/net/org/biz/info registrations

from what i've read here (if i find the thread again i'll post a link) there's issues with uk domains which enom has which could cause significant problems in the future

we're looking into becoming a nominet member just now, will probably go with either tucows or wild west for the other tlds

If you want to go the really cheap route you could signup as an affiliate at 123-reg and get money on each domain you purchase. Then again not sure if thats what you want

123-reg are the tucows reseller i've been registering my uk domains with, i could just cut them out of the loop entirely

What are the problems with UK domains at enom? None of my resellers complained about this.
