I must say when i started venturing into this business it was based on a host that offered reseller services. I thought, hmm, why not. I already do web work & computer tech work so i think it will be a great addition to my business. Honestly the more i learn the more i realize how volitile this industry is. I'm guessing who i go with from the get go is very very important. I actually have already switched from one host to another. As a reseller i want to see how they handle tech support issues ect before i start calling on customers to "jump on the band wagon". What is more disturbing is i have found that the company i am testing this month has only been is business for 6 months. I can say they have been very helpful in the first few days but the fact that they have only been in business 6 months is a great concern. My main question is this i guess. Say i continue with this company and take a risk. I build up my customer base and 6 months down the road the company folds. What is the most efficient and least painful way too keep my customer database intact so it doesn't fall apart? This is a very big concern of mine because ultimately if my reseller folds, my webhosting service could very well fold. Any advice or suggestions ect would be greatly appreciated.
