Seriously this is a good idea. This way when another "which control panel" thread starts up we can just ignore it and let the person figure it out by themselves. :D

www.nocsoft.net ???

Could someone explain this one to me, the site has no links or information other than that main section, formerly known as whm/cpanel?

Is this panel out, in demo, features.. anyone know anything about it? Or is it just a sister site to cpanel.net?

They spammed the forum. Many times, many different usernames, many, many times.

How about the Appies Control Panel that is HostingFreaks.com uses? Their URL is http://www.hostingfreaks.com/appieswhm.html

You can only get it when getting one of their servers though. Bummer, cause it looks great.

First these CP companies spend so much time & effort to make a CP, use the best brains to make a product that works and then some half-brained underpaid marketing chap comes up with a brilliant idea for promotion...spamming.

Now WHT users like us suffer also since I am personally very dependent upon WHT for making informed buying decisions. We decided upon your first host Dialtone thru WHT and then or 2nd host Fastservers was also decided thru WHT solely.

Now, with all these CP companies getting banned from WHT...we will never get any real feedback about their products. Incidentally, the domain registrar we use at present is also banned from WHT :-)

i plea ignorance to this subject, but what are the average price range for a single license of these cp? thank you everyone.

DaveNET

Hi Vincent240,

There is no 'average' price. Some are free, some charge a monthly fee, and some you buy outright. And all of those options have varying price points inside of them.

Go to their web sites or search this forum for resellers who are selling the respective CPs and you'll start to learn what the cost of the various CPs is.

We are implementing Helm at the momet (www.webhostautomation.com) and it is in my opinion the best CP for windows available. The ability for it to handle remote servfers and spread a resellers domains of multiple servers sets it part from all the rest.

I was lucky enough to be an early Beta tester. The support was great and they really listened to the feedback.

Andy.

Do you know if there is anything you have to have pre-installed to run Helm? Or does it only require windows?

Also does anyone know anything about this nocsoft.net??

Just requires windows. It runs on either MS Access or MSSQL. However it comes with an MSDE install so you can use that as a cut down version of MSSQL (without the price tag :))

Just to let you know, webcp.can-host.com disappeared so some of the current developers* set up a new site at http://www.web-cp.net and a new discussion forum at http://www.web-cp.net/forums/.

*Disclaimer: I am one of the developers and I run the site.

You digged a 2 years old post! Where starters are 3 years ago!

If some realised, there is one that ends up into a cPanel server
