I'm currently using several free webmail and forwarding accounts. From time to time these free accounts tend to slow down, i don't like it very much when it takes several hours for a mail arrive or even to bounce. I'm planning on getting my own domain so i can switch email accounts if i'm not satisfied, without altering my email adress(es). I was wondering how everyone else here dealt with their mail? Which host/services do you use to send and receive mails? Which hosts are you satisfied with or not?

I'd say in general, maybe not *every*, but in general, you'll find that *most* paid hosting services will outperform free web based mail. Are there sometimes problems? Yes. Depends on the server you are on. Often all services are run on the same machine so if the machine goes down for something else, your email take a digger temporarily as well.
