I have been sitting here all day and brainstorming all the ideas what Alabanza should add new addons to the CP and DSM as well.

I have planned from Novemember 2000 to Feburary 2001 what the steps they should to add and provide to all hosts and thier customers.

If you want to add your own ideas too, feel free to brainstorm yours and I ll be adding the list and send to Alabanza becuase I spoken to the CEO and try to get his attention why we want a better features for all of us. He wants to hear your feedbacks and he'll concern about it so here are my ideas that I want Alabanza to offer:



NOVEMEMBER 2000
Alabanza Automation 4.0 Upgrade

1) New improved Domain System Manager allows you to customize texts, the layout of the Control Panel to match your own feel, there will be many ready use templates so you can use or create your own. The DSM will also have new improved Wizards for ISP to setup MX Records, HTTPD codes (httpd.conf and others) so you don't have to worry about editing the file. The wizards will do it all for you. The resellers also will be able to do this through thier control panel and setup in real time.

2) Billing System will now allows resellers to be billed at the exact date when the resold account is setup and will be bill on that next date instead of next billing cycle.

3) New Welcome page can be setup after new accounts being setup via Wizard so you don't have to worry about thoses ugly coming soon page. The resellers can be able to register 500 domains a minute with no problem and the welcome page cna be done saying that "MyHost.com has registered this domain and it is coming soon site, you can add whatever you want on the site.

4) Sub Domains and FTP Setup will be available for your users to setup and install it in real time and you can limit in amount you want to give and if they want more, they can purchase more and be billed in real time and also will setup it in real time.

5) Upgrade to PHP4 for stable to meet your demand needs of customers using PHP.

6) BulkRegister can be available to resellers for customers to register new domain names under resellers and can also modify/delete domain names via Domain Name Manager. The billing end will be billed to reseller and the resellers can whichever charge they want to thier customers.



DECEMBER 2000
Alabanza Automation 5.0 Upgrade

1) SSL Wizard - able for resellers to host thier own SSL to thier customers via the SSL Wizard for no charge and yet resellers can charge and make money off with this new SSL wizard program.

2) New CGI tools - WWWBoard, GuestBook, Free for Links and much more will be also added to the Control Panel. The search engine Webglimpse will be no longer used, we will replace with Exicte the powerful search tool.

3) New improved counter script allows setup java or real time counters.

4) phpMyAdmin will be available for customers to setup in CP and use to manage databases with mYSQL.

5) Miva Support will become Miva Merchant allows to install Miva Merchant Shopping software on its website, there will be a charge for this if you want to provide Miva to your customers. AlaCart still can be available if they perfer.

6) New automated billing software will can work with Authorize.net so you can have choices of using Cybcerash, Authorize.net or your own Merchant Account.

7) CP will have it's ability to install or remove mySQL database rather than go through a host for request.



JANUARY 2001
Alabanza Automation 6.0 Upgrade

1) Resellers can be able to setup Account Management/Billing History for all resold accounts and nothing traced back to the hosting company.

2) Resellers can build a real time order form, instant setup and billed to account and resellers can allows you to setup resold accounts instantly. We are the only host to offer instant resold account activation, as well as email notification to YOUR customer.

3) Resellers can customize the Control Panel to match thier own feel and layout too. Texts and Icon can also be customized.

4) Resellers will have ready use of Custom Welcome and Directory Message and Anti Warez features tool for resold accounts to be secured and flexability for FTP Services.

5) new PostgreSQL,a parent database of mySQL will be available for all customers at no charge. PostgreSQL is a sophisticated Object-Relational database management system, supporting almost all SQL constructs, including subselects, transactions, and user-defined types and functions. It is one of the most advanced open-source database available today.

6) vBulletin the powerful forum software will be available in Control Panel, you must purchase a hosting license fee before providing this.

Are they really gonna add these features? because I don't think they would do that because couple of people asked for it, you need to get a big petition signed.

See that just chaps my @$$. I mean they are raising prices for a little conntrol pannel. Whats the point if they offer the same service. I mean they will learn how much biz they will lose. I have a plan for them too.
November 2000: Drops prices by 10%
December 2000: Adds a new control pannel, drops prices another 10%
Jan,Feb,Mar:Says tell us how to make our servers you way. Special orders do upset us, but we will give it to ya free.

I am sorry i am just mad. This industry is so not regualted in the fact that hosts can do this. They think a cp is greaat when FTP is just the smae and you can get genisis for free for FTP sites and it is excellent.

If alabanza adds more feaures they might start charging even more.

How can a host make money on hosting if they have to bump their prices up, and they kinda promise their prices a year to all who already have them. I mean if you already are with them kinda just let them go for a year then go up. I mean people are crazy. They are going to lose money i can assure myself and others of that. They will lose the money for not adding features enough to make money on the host so if that is you livley hood then ur up stream.

That is why I brainstormed all thoses ideas and send to the CEO at Alabanza and have him realized why Host are serious business.

Once >IF< They use thoses, I am sure Hosts will get more business and more customers using the good features and which means for Alabanza more money course but Hosts do make money too...That is a scary part and important part for them to upgrade the CP more bigger, I wouldnt pay $895 for lousy server with cheap CP and limited bandwidth, no damn way but 500IP is nice even $1 per CP is crazy!

Let's get real here. All those features won't sell more hosting accounts. If our costs are around 3-4 bucks per account (probably more) and there are so many hosting companies out there that do 4.95/month accounts, where's our profit margin gonna be, and how can we be competitive?

Asking for more upgrades simply fuels their greedy fire. I would be happy if they would just leave the DSM and CP's alone.

I'm sure if we all group together, we can let Alabanza know that we won't be forced into a corner and that we are SERIOUS about this unfair price hijacking!

Also the CP ideas I told should be added then $895 would make sense but without it, yeah right in your damn dream!

I don't think it will take that many. Plus, when I reveal the alternative that people will have, Alabanza will be the one's shake'n in their boots.

I don't want to bash Alabanza or cause a lot of trouble. I just want to make sure that we all get treated fairly. A price increase is okay (they increased the cost of their servers not that long ago), but the kind of increase they're asking for is terribly unfair. Grandfather the increase so that just new CP's are charged and I might can live with that. Otherwise, I'm gonna rock their world with an astounding alternative that is sure to make Alabanza lose the majority of their customers. Ball's in their court.
