Hi,

One of our clients just purchased a reseller account with us and demanded to have personal nameservers.
So I created his reseller account in WHM. Then I assigned ns1.hisdomain.com to an Ip address. No problems until now.
When I wanted to assign ns2.hisdomain.com, I got the message that it was already assigned to an Ip 208.xx.xx.xx (which is not an IP coming from us).
So what should I do ? :confused:


Also... I am a bit confused... Do I have to assign each new reseller that wants personal nameservers to a NEW set of IP?

You 'll need to change IP of ns2.hisdomain.com to your IP ..

Yes, you will need new set of IPs.

Now my problem is that I don't know how to change the IP of ns2.hisdomain.com to one of our IPs. It says that it is already assigned an IP which does not come from our servers. Any idea how ?

You need to go to the place that it is registered at and change it in there control panel.
