Well, as promised, Hoobastank's New CD was released early this december, and I just got my copy of their new Album: "The Reason"

As I decided to post my review of the Album, anyways here it goes.

Songs:

1. Same Direction
A new style developed, pretty unique. I like it.
10/10
2. Out Of Control
It's very different than Hoobastank's older songs, it suprised greatly me when i first heard it on their site. Especially the chorus. Though the song is a bit too short.

3. What Happened To Us?
Pretty soft, and slow for the verses. Sounds good, and the chorus brings it all out. Though not completely my taste

4. Escape
I'm loving the chorus for this song. But not the best song on the album.

5. Just One
The riff for guitar is awsome, as well as the various guitar parts in this song. Would be great to see it performed alive.

6. Lucky
The melody is great, and the acoustic guitar in the background catches me deeply. The chorus starts with "You make me feel lucky as I can be", we can all relate now and then.

7. From The Heart
It's good/ok, not my favorite. Though that's just my opinion.

8. Reason
Album named after this song, what can i say, this song is truly a new step as well for them. Very soft and relaxing. Some might hate it, but i find it pretty good. Might bring you some emotional feelings now and then as well as flashbacks. The lead singer Doug also brings out a lot of his own emotions when singing it.

9. Let It Out
This song brings out some anger, it's pretty good. Also a bit of change towards their regular types. A new approach.

10. Unaffected
mellow, good tunes.

11. Never There
Not too original, the music is, but lyrics seems similar to an older song.

12. Disappear
Longest song on the album, One of my favorite songs on the album.

Played on computer, you'll see a video clip of them encouraging everyone to signup for their fanclub, and talks about their new CD etc.. Pretty Cool. You can see it at http://fanclub.hoobastank.com

I believe that and Running Away is their biggest hits.

Their first album was self titled wasn't it?

I like "The Reason". Very good sound. Easy listening.

I've never heard hoobastank, but from what I gather they're a Christian band? Nothing wrong with that at all.

Man, and I thought I was the only one who listened to these guys... Theyre a chill band, got a mix of mellow->hard songs.. i love it! Can't wait to pick this one up..

As their first selftitled album went platinum.

Hoobastank is good, and I have their new album too. :)

Their old album was good too. I'm seeing them live January 23rd along with Linkin Park and POD.

I'm not really into Hoobastank, and Adam on IRC can vouch for my distaste of mainstream bands. :)

Yep crawling in the dark, my fave song :D

I like Pieces. That could have been their big hit. It's a little harder than most other songs but it's still good. :)

Though the new album's songs there are few thats a bit harder than their regular style such as out of control and few others.
